Welcome! I'm Susan Nye.
Corporate Dropout, Writer & Cook.

After twenty years I gave up corporate life for the fun, flexibility and fear of self-employment. Now, I write about families, friendship and food. I write about small businesses and entrepreneurs, restaurants and chefs, inns and innkeepers.

And I cook. My kitchen is home to an eclectic mix of flavors from France and the Mediterranean with a bit of spice from the Middle East, Asia and Latin America. I would be delighted to cook for you.

Whether I am sharing my stories or sharing my table, I have one goal, to make you smile.

Look for my stories in Around Concord , Best of Burlington , Here in Hanover , Kearsarge Magazine , Merrimack Valley Magazine , New Hampshire Magazine , Parenting NH , The Heart of New England, Upper Valley Image Magazine and Woodstock Magazine .

I'm writing a cookbook one-story-one-recipe at a time. You can read an installment each week in my newspaper column, Around the Table, in the Intertown Record or on my blog.
